ADMACO clubs vote to finish current season

Majority of A-Division clubs’ presidents voted against aborting the their 2020/2021 league season during a meeting which was convened by A-Division Management Committee on Sunday.

It was after almost four hours of debate that ADMACO leadership reached a conclusion for presidents to vote to either finish or abort the current season, 14 of the 18 presidents attending the meeting voted to finish the season while 4 voted to abandon it.

ADMACO is expected to present this recommendation before the Lesotho Football Association (LEFA) National Executive Committee (NEC) to take final decision.

ADMACO spokesperson Mothusi Letsie declined to comment, saying nothing was official until the association’s NEC has stated. Letsie just said they had a fruitful meeting with clubs’ leaders.

Only Lilemela FC and Galaxy FC were not represented in the meeting .

This position taken by ADMACO clubs brings a dramatic twist to the position of Premier League Management Committee (PLMC) where majority of Premier League clubs voted to abort the league 3 weeks ago.

LEFA President Advocate Salemane Phafane KC announced receiving Premier League Management Committee (PLMC) recommendation and soon they will take decision whether to abort or proceed with the 2020/21 season.
