The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has postponed all CAF qualifiers for FIFA World Cup 2022 scheduled to take place in June 2021 after considering the current challenges caused by COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the released press statement qualifiers will now take place in the FIFA international games windows of September, October, November 2021 and March 2022. CAF is revisiting their protocols focusing on pre-match testing which was an enormous challenge in the previous windows.
