CCX fires their CEO
Premier League side CCX Football Club has relieved Chief Executive Officer Maponyane Letsie from his duties with immediate effect on Saturday 1st May 2021.
According to their statement released to the media, the team wrote:
“This is on behalf of CCX FC, the club whom I undersigned serve as President. It is a great honor for us CCX to have a kind person like you, with due respect, we are regrettably informing you that you are relieved from your role as CEO of CCX FC with immediate effect because of circumstances beyond our control.”
President of the club Thetsane Moloi confirmed this to News4u Sports, but declined to disclose more information for sacking Letsie.
Letsie confirmed receiving the letter and said he is suspecious management are angry because he signed on behalf of the team a document presented by some elite league clubs concerned with the resumption of premier league games.
Letsie defended his position regarding resumption of games saying he was a CEO and was empowered to take decision on behalf of the team.
He has held the position for nine months.
