Chinese medics offer free help


Mokhotlong April 07– At least two hundred local people received free medical services supplied by a team of medical doctors from China at the activity that took place in Mokhotlong town on Wednesday.

The team leader Dr. Chen Yu said they visited Mokhotlong to contribute towards promotion of good health to the community by providing free medical services and giving advice according to the situation found to every people checked.

He said the services provided included hypertension checking and sugar diabetes screening.

Dr. Chen added that besides the free medical services, beneficiaries were also presented with some food items, masks and hand sanitisers to further help them towards protection against the spread of COVID 19 pandemic.

One of the beneficiaries Mrs. Nthontho, 68, of Salang in the district said they appreciated the free medical services and the food items they received from the China Medical Team and requested God to bless them.

This was the sixth activity on free medical service provided by the 15th batch of China Medical Team since its arrival in Lesotho in December last year.

The team is made up of nine medical doctors and they conducted similar activity in Leribe and Botha Bothe.

The team is based at Motebang Hospital in the Leribe district and will be working in Lesotho for one year.
