Newly promoted side Manonyane Football Club is swimming in financial crisis and struggling to pay their coach.
This came after sources close to the club disclosed to News4u Sport that head coach Mosholu “Shoes” Mokhothu tendered his resignation to the management of the team.
Mokhothu was asked to stay as the management promised to solve the problem.
The vice president of the team Mr. Khasake Shale confirmed to News4u Sport that coach Mokhothu wanted to resign because of many reasons, among them was that there was no proper communication in the team.
Shale told News4u Sport that they convened a meeting with Mokhothu and begged him to stay in the team. Sources informed us Manonyane owed Mokhothu a lot of money for several months, that was why he wanted to quit.
Khasake said they promised to pay Mokhothu on the 28th of February, but failed due to some logistics. They promised to pay him this week.
He admitted it is very difficult to run a club without a sponsor, he promised fans that as management, they are searching for potential sponsors to finance the team.
